Skateboarding is something that I hold very dear to my heart and is something that has become a huge part of my life. Skateboarding is an art with no rules and something that is completely unique. When someone does a trick, it is that person’s own unique style and version of the trick and no one else’s is exactly the same. Being able to see what people can do on their board is art, and no two pieces of art are the same.
Another reason why I love skateboarding is how it connects you with all other skateboarders. We are one of the closest communities and in that it doesn’t matter how old you are or where you are from but you are instantly connected through your skateboarding. It is something that you share and that connects you with that person. I’ve met so many amazing people through skateboarding and had so many great experiences through skateboarding that without everything that skateboarding has given me, I don’t think I’d be the same person that I am today without it.
The thing I find the most amazing about skateboarding is the feeling that it gives me. Whatever problem I have, if I am stressed or worried about anything, if I go and skate it is like I completely forget all my worries in the world and I become completely engrossed in my skateboarding. It makes me happier than anything in the world and it is has infinite possibilities of what you can do on your board. Nothing makes me happier than being on my board, and that is why I skateboard.

Inward Heelflips, Bigspin Inward Heelflips and 360 Inward Heelflips and hardly anyone ever does them. Generally I like anything that isn’t seen often, such as late flips and front foot impossibles. I also love backside bigspins and backside 360’s as they’re just the kind of tricks that feel really good under your feet.

Stick with it and don’t give up. The beginning is the hardest and most frustrating part, just keep trying and you will eventually get it! It is worth all of the hard work and pain, it does pay off.

I was teaching a little 9 year old girl’s birthday party and all of the children seemed to be having such a great time. By the end of the day when the lesson was over, they kept saying how they wish it didn’t have to be over and that they definitely wanted to do it again.
I was so pleased that I had introduced skateboarding to these young girls and that they felt so inspired by it and that they wanted to keep at it. To be able to introduce them to something I care about so deeply, and to see a new generation of children share the same joy I get from skateboarding, was so rewarding.
