XC Skatepark

The bowl starts in the 6 foot shallow end, which has quite of a mini-ramp style with a square bowled corner. This is then linked to the deep end by a waterfall roll-in, with two hips. The deep end is equally square, with the main feature being the cradle that brings the depth down to 9 1/2 feet, from the rest of the section that is 9 feet.
The pool is quite a classic kidney shape, with the inclusions of some steps and a death box to add authenticity. There are also tiles and pool coping around the top, which goes up to vert. A waterfall roll-in takes you from the 5 foot shallow to the 8 foot deep section.
The park section, made entirely of wood, is quite simple but on a large scale. All lines start from one end, from either the 4 1/2 or 5 foot quarters or from the long flat-bank with wallride. Equally, all lines must come back on themselves at the gnarly 12 foot vert wall that occupies the entire other end of the park, similar to that of Bay 66. The middle section has a large pyramid box, hubbas based on those at the Hubba Hideout, a jump-box, a step-up, a wallie box, a hand-rail and various other banks and blocks.
Behind the park section, there is also a 4 foot mini-ramp with a 5 foot extension. Alongside the park section there is a simple street section made up of an up-and-down block, a flat block and a super long round rail.
One of the best indoor skateparks in Britain, and the only one with a pool. Worth checking their facebook page before making the trip as it sometimes gets wet due to a design fault. Wide variety of obstacles, both transition and street, but largely aimed at quite a high standard of skateboarding. Definately a park worth visiting.
Parents: If your taking one of your children there and they’re not all into the skatepark, or your looking for something to do while they are in there, you will pleased to find out the XC is not just a skatepark.
It also has a vast 14m climbing wall, a bouldering wall, high ropes course and one of the world’s largest organic indoor caving systems.
