Harrow Skatepark

Opened July 1978. The original rippers paradise, designed to replicate the surfing experience, hence the original name ‘solid Surf’. Not much has changed since then, it’s a real 70’s skatepark with flowing lines taking you around the whole park and through all the bowls.
The park features a long snake run with super-deep end section and big hips, old-skool pool with roll-in and tiles, a steep half-pipe with two bowled ends and at least a foot of vert, 4 part clover bowl, a whippy tight peanut shape bowl, and a large flatbank taking you on a long slope with a roll-in on one side and a flatbank on the other, with two blocks in the middle and comes to an end with the Eagle/bollocks bowl.
Except for the addition of a brand new, Wooden 5 foot mini ramp and 6 foot half pipe with a spine it really hasn’t changed much since its introduction to the world. That and the exclusion of the performance bowl, which was filled in years ago after the death of someone in it.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned ripper, this skatepark will have something to offer you. A truly inspiring day out, enabling you to experience some of British skateboardings original roots. A great skatepark. If you haven’t been before, do so as soon as possible.
