Clapham Common Skatepark

This is a park full of variation and quirky obstacles that prove to be both challenging and enjoyable; situated in Clapham Common, one of the largest open spaces in London. The skatepark itself is largely a super smooth concrete park, but don’t be put off by the non-concrete floor (in areas) as this is still very smooth. An open plan lay out, with a flowing concrete park section surrounded by and an abundance of block and rail features on a tarmac surface.
The concrete inner park is comprised of a 3 foot mini ramp, variety of flat-banks, quarter-pipes, a steep bowled corner with pool coping, pole jams, euro gap, long 3 stair, banked hip with an long up and down ledge, long curved ledge, hand rail, driveway and a Bloblands style volcano.
Around this is the outer street section of the park, featuring a long round rail, square rail, ledges, manny pads, curbs ideal for slappy grinds and a long curved double ledge.
With numerous obstacles that can provide a decent session for a skater of any preference or ability; whether you’re street, transition, mini ramp etc. There will be something here for you. Overall, I recommend this park to everyone of all abilities and riding preferences. It has pretty much everything you need to spend an afternoon there and is definitely worth a day trip. The locals are friendly, the ground is smooth and the park has good flow, what’s not to like?
Do get in while it’s quiet, since the interlinking lines and quick flow can make it very crowded with not many people.
